Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, materials handling, and inventory management to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to achieve high performance levels while fostering a positive team environment.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to streamline distribution center operations and improve delivery timelines.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
- Operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software; conduct regular cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and enforce safety protocols across all warehouse activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within a distribution center or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and logistics processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment safely.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and resolve conflicts promptly.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with materials handling.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, lean management practices, e-commerce fulfillment processes, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- SAP experience a huge plus
- Necessity to open the warehouse and supervise one day during the weekend when there is a need.
