The architect will participate in business process discussions, map functional requirements to system designs, and document solution architecture. The role involves working with a system integrator and stakeholders on design, providing an independent perspective on recommendations, and ensuring solutions align with technology standards. Key Responsibilities Create and document solution architecture, including current-state and future-state diagrams. Lead solution design sessions and conduct architecture reviews. Drive the mapping of requirements to solutions and manage documentation efforts. Review business context for solutions, define the vision and requirements, and recommend optimal options. Communicate architecture to stakeholders and collaborate with other architects and engineers to adopt IT standards. Assess the current systems architecture and recommend improvements. Ensure solutions align with standard guidelines and influence changes to standards when necessary. Identify and recommend appropriate solutions, including upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options. Required Qualifications Mid-level solution architect experience with a background in the utilities industry. Demonstrated understanding of utility business processes, particularly meter-to-cash operations, including AMI, billing, and meter data management. Experience creating architecture documentation, leading design sessions, and producing design artifacts using tools like Visio. Technical Skills Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA, including its architecture, configuration impacts, integration points, business process mapping, and enhancement capabilities. Knowledge of enterprise integration, API architecture, and cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences. Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
