Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Plumbing/HVAC Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a local professional with a stable work history and possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME). The candidate should have a minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC design, estimating, and project management. Proficiency in project management, and a proven track record of successful large projects are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency

-Estimate/take off and price from plans for proposals

- On site look at jobs and price them in the Plumbing and AC field

- Technical help to the ac/heating divisions technicians with an understanding of controls and engineering to bring the best product to the customer and solve the problem

-Assist in setting up the contract jobs with materials and labor

- Communicate with potential clients to create a relationship and sell jobs

- Look for opportunities to bring value to our customers with new products and technology

- Understanding the New York laws and regulations to assist our customers in compliance
- Manage project budgets and track expenses
- Prepare and submit project reports
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • 3 years of experience in a supervising or managerial role
  • 5 years of project management experience
  • Proven track record of managing projects
  • Have a working knowledge of the cost of goods and services
  • Have a demonstrated ability to solicit, evaluate and manage the price, schedule and quality of objectives of individual projects
  • Understand the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
  • Understand project cost control and change order management.
  • Have the ability to prioritize large volumes of complex work to meet established deadlines
  • Must possess related certifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • Proven leadership ability and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management and problems solving skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Possess dispute resolution skills
  • Proven safety knowledge and skills
  • Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license
