Raytheon's Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, and support to production builds, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products.
We have an opportunity for a Principal RF Design Engineer who is seeking to utilize their academic background and professional experience in RF / Microwave system theory and design to help develop the next generation of Raytheon's Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.
What You Will Do:
- Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
- Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
- Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
- Schematic capture and RF routing.
- Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
- This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years' of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and or component analysis, design and or test.
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, , CST, and or Mentor Graphics' Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
