Field Service & Integration Technician
Auto ImportJob Description
About the Role:
Our client is a manufacturing technical integration company. We solve production problems for
industrial and automotive-component manufacturers: building and installing control panels, retrofitting
machinery, commissioning drives and safety systems, error-proofing processes, and keeping equipment
running when it goes down.
This is a senior, customer-facing role for someone who is already capable and does not need to be built. You will walk into a customer facility, own the job from intake through close-out, and be the person that
customer calls the next time something goes wrong. You will troubleshoot live production equipment, build and mount panels, pull and terminate control wiring, program PLCs and HMIs, commission drives and safety systems, and write the service report that supports the invoice.
You are not shadowing an owner for six months. After a short orientation period on our customers,
standards, and documentation, you run jobs. What you deliver on site is what the customer buys, and it is
the direct source of the revenue this role generates.
Scope of work: Walter Solutions works on the load side of the machine disconnect — process equipment and its associated wiring. We do not perform building electrical distribution, service entrance, or other line-side work. A customer request to feed, relocate, or modify a disconnect is escalated to the owner and is never performed on the spot.
