Auto ImportStorm Water Services Land Development SectionThis position is an opportunity to work with the Storm Water Services Land Development Section. The team is seeking someone who is detail-oriented with a customer service focus who can provide support for the Storm Water Engineering Plan Review and Erosion Control teams. This position is administrative and will help manage land development permitting tasks and assist customers through the land development process.Salary offering for this position: $28.30 - $35.37/hr. commensurate with experience.Major duties and responsibilities:Assist the engineering and erosion control teams with administrative support for permitting and regulatory field operationsReview and process close-out documents for residential development projects as well as other administrative forms, reports, and supporting documentationServe as primary point of contact for Storm Water building permit hold releasesCoordinate customer service requests and track case activityPrepare, process, and distribute regulatory correspondence, including certified mail and enforcement noticesSchedule preconstruction meetings and coordinate calendars with customers and staffProcess administrative forms, reports, and case files, and maintain documents in accordance with record retention requirementsPerform all other duties as assignedKnowledge, skills & abilities:Effective written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other productivity toolsAbility to learn City and County Accela permitting systemsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and complete assignments with minimal supervisionAdaptable and willing to support multiple teams with changing prioritiesAbility to quickly learn and adapt to department-specific processes, tools, and terminologyCommitted to accuracy, consistency, and continuous process improvementPreferred qualifications:Familiarity with land development and/or building permittingExperience with Accela permitting systemAbility to interpret construction plansMinimum qualifications:High School Graduate or equivalent and one year of work experienceAssociate's degreeConditions of employment:The City's Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte.
