You'll work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, project management, and production teams to develop electrical solutions from initial design through fabrication, testing, installation, and startup.This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys solving real-world electrical problems and seeing their designs move from drawings to completed equipment.Electrical Distribution & System DesignDesign and develop electrical power distribution systems for industrial equipment and applicationsDevelop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and distribution drawingsSize and select transformers, switchgear, disconnects, breakers, motor starters, VFDs, and other electrical componentsPerform electrical calculations related to load requirements, voltage drop, short-circuit current, and system capacityDesign systems in accordance with applicable NEC, NFPA, UL, and industry standardsReview electrical designs for safety, reliability, performance, and manufacturabilityEngineering & Project SupportDevelop and maintain electrical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and other engineering documentationReview customer requirements and project specifications and translate them into practical electrical designsCoordinate electrical engineering activities with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and project teamsParticipate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout project executionSupport engineering changes and continuous improvement initiativesManufacturing, Testing & CommissioningWork directly with manufacturing and production teams to resolve electrical design and installation issuesSupport equipment testing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and startupDiagnose electrical problems involving power distribution, motors, controls, and industrial equipmentProvide technical guidance during fabrication and equipment startupOccasionally support field activities and customer installations as neededWhat We're Looking ForRequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field3+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial, manufacturing, OEM, process equipment, or similar environmentHands-on experience designing or supporting electrical power distribution systemsExperience with electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical system designStrong understanding of industrial power distribution, motor systems, transformers, breakers, disconnects, and electrical protectionWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL, or other applicable electrical codes and standardsProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar electrical design softwarePreferredExperience with industrial machinery or custom-engineered equipmentExperience with load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, or power system studiesFamiliarity with VFDs, motor controls, PLC-controlled equipment, and instrumentationExperience with control panels and industrial automationExperience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, or startupFamiliarity with industrial communication networksPE license or progress toward PEWhy This OpportunityDesign electrical systems that become real-world industrial equipmentTake ownership of projects from engineering and design through testing and startupWork closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and project teamsSolve challenging electrical and power distribution problems in a hands-on environmentHave a direct impact on equipment performance, reliability, and productionJoin an established organization offering long-term career growthWork EnvironmentThis position is primarily office-based with regular interaction throughout an active manufacturing facility.
